Diva's Pins-Banana Pancakes!

So I brought out the apron today!

Yep, says Domestic Diva ;-)

Last night I was perusing Pinterest and came across this pancake recipe. Two ingredients! Bananas and eggs! I thought to myself no freaking way! Since I'm always searching for new healthy recipes, especially during Alex's fight camps, I knew I had to try it!

First you take a banana and mash it.

I started out with the fork, then used my potato masher.
Then you add the eggs. The original recipe calls for two eggs. But I found another recipe that said you can use one. I only used one since I have jumbo eggs.

Once you've mixed the egg and pancakes, pour them onto the skillet. Make sure it's lightly greased and preheated on low medium heat.

It may take a while, don't get too impatient and flip them too soon.

They came out pretty well!

Voila! End result!
I drizzled them with a little honey and added some strawberries on the side! Alex liked them a lot. So my first attempt was a success!

Day 1 Welcome Home

Let's see what kind of mischief Simon gets into.

Happy Holidays!

I know, I know....

I say I'm back then I only do two blogs...
I've been busy being a fighter's wife ;-) That and colorguard practices and games. Which I got a tiny break from, now it's on to Winterguard practices.
Plus I'm getting ready to go on my first ever vacation with my husband. We are looking forward to that! I've started going to the gym. Need to make sure I have a beach body for the vacation. Plus I purchased a dress for the formal night. There was only one left and it was in a smaller size than I currently am. I really wanted the dress...so I bought it. And now I'm now more determined than ever to get into this dress.

And OF COURSE, now that I've purchased it, I go back online and they have them in my size again. Oh well....

::In Other News::

We have began the Elf on the Shelf tradition!

It looked too fun not too!

He arrived on our door this evening after we heard the door bell ring.

I read the story to them, then Chloe named him Simon. I think it is a really good name for him. After that we went online and registered him and completed the adoption process.

I also set up a little town by the front of the house.

So we are starting to get in the holiday spirit. I've already bought the tree but we haven't put it up yet. We will probably do it tomorrow evening!

Well gotta go, taking the kids to see Wreck-It Ralph!

Til next time (Hopefully it won't be as long...)
